I didn’t draw this out first, just decided I wanted to paint with turquoises, blues and greens and went from there. Perhaps this is a work in progress, perhaps it isn’t.

Will replace with a decent quality scan when it’s dry enough :)

Puppy Training

I have plans to sort this blog out properly, but in the meantime I’ll endeavour to update regularly I suppose!

In April we got an Airedale Terrier puppy, so I’ve been going along to dog training sessions [albeit I’ve not been doing the training, my boyfriend Tom is]. Quite a good chance to sit and draw from a room full of dogs.

None of our little Cooper today, but plenty of his ‘classmates’.

That dirty thing that I’ve been battling with for godknowshowlong. It’s not hard, just doesn’t seem to hold my attention much – I wonder why… starting to take shape a bit more now, though. Oh, and in context:

I need to clean up this blog, migrating from FTP to the blogger servers has left it looking a bit of a mess. Hmm. The main reason I haven’t been updating is because of having to deal with it. Enough of the excuses! I’ll get down to work…

Kingfishers

I got the go ahead on some new projects this week- Kingfishers for the London Wildlife Trust at Camley Street. So here’s a couple of preliminary drawings with markers, it’s been a while since I used them, not sure I ever tried to use them seriously to be honest? I enjoyed working with them.

 

Will progress to more interesting images as I get familiar with their anatomy…

Sketchbook Pages
